Request a custom skill or agent

Have a workflow no skill covers? Tell us what you need and we'll help build it.

Muro comes with built-in skills and agents for common precon work. If your team has a workflow they don't cover, or you need results in your company's own format, ask us to help build one for you.

When to ask

A custom skill or agent is a good fit when:

  • You repeat a workflow every bid and no existing skill covers it.

  • You need your company's template or format, like your own leveling sheet, scope of work or report layout.

  • The work is document-driven: it reads drawings, specs, proposals or data from your tools and produces a consistent result.

💡 Tip: Want to try it yourself first? You can build your own skill in a few minutes. See How to create a skill and How to write strong skill instructions.

What to send us

The more you share, the faster we can help:

  1. The task: what you do today, step by step, and how often.

  2. Example inputs: the documents you work from (drawings, specs, proposals, reports). Remove anything confidential you don't want to share.

  3. A sample of the output you want: a finished example or your blank template.

  4. The tools involved: for example, your project management tool (e.g., Procore, Autodesk), your bid management tool (e.g., BuildingConnected, Procore), email (e.g., Outlook, Gmail) or team chat (e.g., Teams, Slack).

How to request it

  • Click the chat bubble at the bottom-right of Muro and send us a message.

  • Or contact your Customer Success Manager.

What happens next

  1. We review your request and may ask follow-up questions.

  2. We let you know how we can help and what the next steps are.

  3. When it's ready, you'll find it in Muro and can run it from the chat box like any other skill or agent.

Tips & best practices

  • ✅ Start with one workflow. Pick the task that costs your team the most time.

  • ✅ Describe "done". Tell us what a good result looks like and how you check it today.

  • 💡 Name the tools. If the workflow involves one of your tools, say whether Muro should read from it or write to it.

Good to know

  • When a skill or agent writes to one of your tools, Muro shows a preview and waits for your approval by default.

  • Don't see your tool in Apps? Contact our team.
