Your first 15 minutes

A hands-on tour of Muro: ask a question, check sources, run an agent, explore skills, connect an app.

The fastest way to learn Muro is to use it. Open a project with a few documents in it and try the steps below.

1. Open a project

Click the project switcher (top-left) and pick a project. No project yet? See Set up your first project. You land on New Activity: a greeting, a row of agent cards, and the chat box.

2. Ask a question (2 minutes)

Type a question in the chat box, just as you'd ask a colleague. You don't need to pick files: by default Muro searches the whole project.

Try one of these:

What should we clarify with the architect before bid day? Draft the pre-bid RFIs.

Summarize the scope for the mechanical trade and list anything that looks missing or unclear.

Answers take about 1–2 minutes.

💡 Tip: To focus on certain documents, click Files in the chat box and select them.

3. Open a cited source (1 minute)

Every answer points to where it came from: the document, sheet number or spec section. Click a source link and the original page opens in Muro's previewer. See How Muro cites its sources.

4. Run an agent (5–10 minutes)

Agents handle longer reviews and produce a file you can share.

  1. Click Agents in the chat box, or Start on a card in the carousel.

  2. Pick Revision Reviews Agent (what changed between drawing sets) or Drawings vs Specs Conflict Agent.

  3. Name the output, add files from the project, and click Generate.

Runs take about 3–15 minutes. When it's done, preview the Excel or PDF in Muro, download it, or click Add to Project Files to save it.

✅ Best practice: Keep working while it runs. Ask another question in a new activity.

5. Explore Skills (2 minutes)

Click Skills in the sidebar. Filter by Category or App, or search, to see the ready-made workflows Muro can run. You don't have to memorize them: Muro picks the right one from a plain request. You can also type / in the chat box to choose one.

6. Connect an app (2 minutes)

Go to Settings › Apps and click Connect on a tool you use, such as Outlook, Gmail, Teams, Slack, Procore or BuildingConnected. Now Muro can read from it and, with your approval, act in it.

🔒 Write actions like sending an email or creating an RFI are set to Needs approval by default. Muro shows a preview and waits. See Your data, security & approvals.
