Muro works with your bid documents and inside your tools, so it's fair to ask: who sees my files, and what can Muro do without me? The short answer: your documents stay in your organization, and you decide what Muro can do in your tools.
Your documents
They stay in your organization's projects. Files you upload or sync live in the project you added them to.
Only your organization's members with access can see them.
You can delete them anytime. In Project Workspace, open the row ⋯ menu and click Delete. To stop syncing a folder, click Unlink. Nothing is deleted at the source.

You control what Muro can do in your tools
Each person connects their own apps. For each connected app, you choose when Muro can use each tool.
Go to Settings › Apps.
On a connected app, click Manage.
Under "Choose when Muro is allowed to use these tools," set each tool or a whole group to:
Always allow: Muro uses it without asking.
Needs approval (hand icon): Muro shows a preview and waits for you.
Never (blocked icon): Muro can't use it.
The defaults
Group | Examples | Default |
Read-only tools | Get project, List RFIs, List submittals, List drawings | Always allow |
Write/delete tools | Send an email, create an RFI, create a bid package, post a message | Needs approval |
To remove an app, click Disconnect in the same panel.
🔒 Only admins can connect data sources like SharePoint (Settings › Data Connectors). Apps are connected per person.
How approvals work
When a task needs a write action, Muro doesn't just do it.
Muro prepares the action, for example the RFIs to log or the follow-up emails to send.
It shows you a preview and waits.
You review it and approve. Nothing is sent, posted or created until you do.
✅ Best practice: Leave write tools on Needs approval, at least until your team is comfortable with the results.
Good to know
If you set a tool to Never, tasks that need it can't use it. Change the setting anytime in Manage.
